Public May Not Have Caught On To Vanessa Due To Her Style?
« on: February 03, 2008, 01:10:55 am »
I love Vanessa but I can see why some may not have really caught on to her. Her first CD's singles were all her very bright, cheery and romantic ones and maybe when people bought the CD they were put off by the other darker tracks or were to surprised and have just had an image of "Oh she puts out light singles, but really her music is just too heavy for me." And people who enjoy darker music never really knew that Vanessa's albums had that side to them so they never really tried her out.

Heroes and Theives I think is what people expected her first CD more to sound like, but by now it may have been too late. I think they should market to the "deep in thought college kids" and the "romantic love struck teens" for her albums to do well. Since her albums are about half and half why not market it that way?
