You guys pidgeonhole vanessa carlton as some innocent beautiful teenager when infact shes now a young woman who has every right to explore her sexuality and be sexual. One day shes gonna do some video where shes naked or something and there will be an uproar that shes selling out, but I believe everything shes done in relation to sex has been very artistic.

I don't think she will do full on nudity unless it has a special meaning in a song that she wrote and is played in an artistic way.

I watched an interview where she showed a shirt that hardly showed any skin and said "This is as naked as i get." I really love and respect her for not giving into that because all of the other music videos have it. Yes she took off her skirt, BIG DEAL! shes 27 years old, it's legal for her to do much more worse things than taking off a skirt, and i truly thought that brought a lot more drama to the song.

I'm pretty sure that interview is pretty old but I do agree that I don't see her getting naked in a non-classy/artistic way.

I think it brought it's own point across.  For it to be less boring and still be the same video it would have had to have more nudity in it.  :wink:   But then people would have griped about that.

Many people would argue that if you are going to bring up the sensuality/sexuality as a subject it should be rounded enough to include all orientations. Which is maybe why you have that in the video.
