48th best Singer Songwriter :D

In germany we have a very famous show called the chartshow. Last Topic of the show was "Best Singer/Songwriters of all time". Vanessa made it into the Top 50 and entered on place 48. Here you can see the list:

Some big names on that list, it's an honour being on the same list as people such as Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, Bob Dylan etc.

I'm happy that she's on the list cause she deserves to be!
but honetsly, some singers are 30th or something else but they should be after her (carla bruni for example......that's my opinion!) :lol:

It's a german list. the german charts have been the base for that list and so german singing artists who were quite successful have quite a good place in that chart (even though they aren't as good as vanessa is ).

no problem  :wink: yep, but I wanted to say, that (for me!) it's not fair that's people prefer her to vanessa: her voice is so weak....but maybe it's because vanessa has some difficulties to be known in europe! in france she had success with be not nobody, but until harmonium, I don't hear her new songs on the radio: the only one I hear is (rarely) a thousand miles, maybe it's the same, in other european countries...don't know..

Carla also sucks big time, I don't even dare comparing Vanessa to her.
I'm sad barely no one remembers Vanessa here and listen to cr*ppy music most of the time.  :?

here in germany Vanessa was quite succesful with Be not Nobody, but ATM was the only single that made it into the charts. Kind of sad but i hear ATM quite often on the radio. Last week i saw a quizzshow (quiztaxi) where they sometimes play music , and if the one who gots asked knows ithe title and the singer he gets money. I was quite surprised as they played ATM and surprisingly the person had known who sang that song. very often i meet persons who just know the song but don't know that vanessa is the mother of this sweet little song. But well all in all i think that the german people havn't forgotten her, but ATM was the last song she ever promoted here and that's why she has no succes here.

I agree!! and saphir, we've the same phenomenon on france: some people remember the song but not the singer....

totaly disagree ok carla sucks but you can't tell we don't have great singers in France just look at emilie simon she's amazing
