Does anyone know her? She's an australian folk singer! She's very talented. She plays guitar very well and her songs are great!!
Her album is called "the adventures of..."

Thanks Kate - not often someone other than an Aussie starts a thread for
an Oz Artist, but then there seem to be less of us Aussies here nowadays,
and Melanie has definately come out of obscurity with breath-taking pace.

Somehow her face is familiar :? I've probably caught a glimpse of a promo
appearance on one of the TV breakfast shows here. 'Triple J' have helped
with air play of her material as part of the "Unearthed" program. She has
a gig scheduled on the Gold Coast for July 11, but I'll likely be working :wink:

ok, I've nerver had the opportunity to see her on stage too. She's been in france but it was too far from where I live and I was at the university!

Today, her new single "mary mary" is available and you can listen to it on her myspace page! It's really amazing!

I think that mary mary is more likely to be heard on the radio! hope it makes her more famous!!

I thought the 'Queen of quirk' title was interesting; I imagined that was the
kind of thing Kate Miller-Heidke would be tagged with. Watch this space :wink:
