Now, now. You may of course hold that opinion as is your right, but be aware that generalizations only close our mind to what could be something fantastic.
I agree, though. Most of today's rap is shit. But, there are a few exceptions to that, however. So I wouldn't say that I hate rap, as I don't hate anything either. I just sincerely dislike the misogynistic, meaningless, boxed rap that lacks any real emotion whatsoever. Though, there are some rap artists that aren't like that. And then there are some rappers that are just putting out music that is fun and danceable, but not necessarily fake.
There are just so many things to consider when thinking of music.

The only generalization that I have made and been able to keep is that all metal is horrible. I can't stand one metal song that I have heard. I mean, the metal that likes to scream pointlessly. I just don't see the musical qualities in it. At all. Like, what could possibly be endearing to hearing that crap? I don't know. But I do know some people enjoy it. So, I can't hate it.

BUT, pertaining to this song, the only reason why I kind of enjoy it is because after the first couple agonizing seconds, it actually gets good. And makes use of the riff and the violins in it are actually amazing. So, I like it. =]

i like some hair metal from the 80s, cinderella, ratt, poison....it wasn't bad stuff..it wasn't ground breaking but it was different from the rest of music popping up.  i just can't grasp the idea of 'rap'.   it's all a big cock fight and it's sad.  name-calling/throwing....it's childish and it all feels so heartless.   i mean, isn't this guy is prison for weapon charges...i am a firm believer of keeping your personal life aside from the persons musical career...but come on, who wants to support people like that?  stupid.  just gotta have some substance to get my support.
