The Marching Line
« on: May 31, 2011, 07:15:01 am »
From the itunes 1:30 snippet + Amazon snippet:

….(black?) clouds, like (black?) cathedrals
The night hits the sea
And I walk to the highline
Ships gonna take me at midnight
The storm's sounding (heading?) out like an overture
It's time to join the marching line

Take back your best
Don't know what love is like
A bullet hitting the chest
And I never say it
Never known a day without
The quiet regret

And so I walk to the high line
Ships gonna take me at midnight
Storm's sounding (heading?) out like an overture
It's time to join the marching line
And leave it all behind
And join the marching line

And there's no captain, no calls
What's your name?
An army of one...

Is it best?

I thought I heard 'vest'

Like, a bullet-proof vest.

Floating on the sea, stars are watching me. Currents take me out, what will be will be.

It is drums. I don't know which exactly, but it is the one commonly used when having a drum roll before an announcement and, of course, in a march.

Hmmm..... Random, but I'll share it anyway....

Quote
Marching lines are a pair of lines drawn on the glass of a compass, and arranged at 45 degrees to each other. These are an essential component in hiking through the wilderness. Most modern compasses have adjustable luminous marching lines.

It's a direction then....

I was just thinking about people marching. Like in a parade. But maybe there is more than what I think there is.

interesting!  I also thought of the war :x  I haven't listened to it that much (bad nessaholic) mainly because it's a huge tease and I'd rather listen to the album itself, so I don't have any clear thoughts on any of the songs yet.

I think It could be about a direction or a path that you need to choose in life.  Its your life and you decide what to do with it (army of one)  ;D
