Come to think of it, that set-up could have been better.  You get reservations for dinner, a seat right by the stage, spend all that money, and get to watch the top of the Rhodes cabinet.  I mean, I'm 5' 11" and Vanessa looked like a floating head. That was Sunday's show.

Tonight, I was at a table in the corner and had to stand up to see her at some points.

I wonder why they didn't put the piano in the corner.  It would have given Ari and Skye more breathing room.  Also, lots of space was wasted by those huge floor monitor speakers.  I can't imagine they were needed at a low-volume gig like this where you could scare the band by cracking your knuckle.

I'll say this: being inches from the Rhodes cabinet was sublime, sound-wise.  Won't be forgetting that any time soon.

Before this thread goes any further, I must give the biggest shout-out to Let, who was cool as all heck and supplied me with a last-minute ticket.  Traffic was massive trying to get across town(I work on the West Side) and she was nice enough to leave a ticket for me at the door with my name and a nice spot at a table near the stage.  Let rocks my socks.

Aw, thanks, Dan. We're a pretty good team the all of us. Such a fun week.

I'm back in California, straight from the airport to work. I still haven't slept except for the broken sleep on the plane.

I only took one video last night. It's "Home" which I was so happy she did. It was so appropriate and beautiful with Skye. It's a little shakey and I didn't get the boys as some people were standing up in the corner blocking my view, so it's all a floating head. Ha  ;)

I have some photos on my FB and more are on the way. I also have some videos maybe later or tomorrow. Gotta catch up with all these emails from work etc.  Oh and sleep will be nice.

Oh ok, I've seen you then. I was at the table right in front of the piano with 2 other guys (Kulpy and bwilli). This table sucked, I could not see Vanessa when she was on the piano. Thank you Joe's Pub for your terrible seating arrangement...

Sounds like where my friends and I sat on Monday. When VC was at the piano, all I saw were her legs. But, I was happy to get a good view when she played the Rhodes and to be able to be there, hearing her live. There's magic in the air when seeing/hearing her perform live. I can't wait to see her live again.

I tried to introduce people to other people from Nh.com. Next time we'll do a better meet up.

I tracked down a few Nessaholics during dinner. I met Sarab, BWilli, Kulpy and Nicole briefly.  I think I may have spotted you in the bathroom line before the show, but I wasn't sure! Hopefully next time, I'll have more confidence  :P

I checked Livestream last night and it looked like they weren't streaming Wednesday's show. I am glad that they at least streamed the first 2 shows.

Definitely a great show as always.   And like Dan, I enjoy her little "mess ups".    I'm pretty sure she stumbled on a whole line in Home haha.

As always it was great to see everyone, and meet some more Nessaholics.

After this week Joe's Pub will be closed until September for renovations.   I loved being up front, but it is unfortunate that people sitting up front cant see anything (she has great legs though ;) )

I only recorded Fools Like Me for this show.  I took a couple of pics, but they aren't so great since no flash is allowed.  I was hoping to snag a pic with her as this was the last show I'd be attending on the mini tour but she bounced right afterwards.

I had a great week leading up to may vacation next week.   Big love for V and all the Nessaholics :)

We definitely need to do a proper Nessaholic meet-up.  And not that place we went to after Sunday's show, 'cause we couldn't put tables together.  How ridiculous.  We all know that groups of people NEVER go out in the city.  ???

It's tough to do at a show.  It's usually dark and I'm hoping noone suggests name tags. Ha.

VC mentioned she's coming back in the fall...did I not see the dates or have they not been booked yet?
