technical help
« on: August 25, 2011, 10:45:47 am »
I want to put a song on you tube because there is no album version of a song I like out on youtube. how do I go about doing that?  You know how some album versions of songs are just set to a picture? I have no clue how to do that...any help would be appreciated!  In the mean time I'm going to continue to try to figure it out..

Do you have a youtube account already?

Open windows movie maker (it comes standard on most machines). On the tab at the top, click on "add videos and photos." Select the photo you want to use. After you pick the photo, you will be able to click on the "Add music" tab at the top. Pick the song from your pc. Save your video as a .wmv file. (i.e. myvideo.wmv). Then you just upload to youtube!

Just to add to what Arwen said, you want to drag the end of the picture to match when the music ends, like this (the top one is the picture)

i go to the edit tab but everything is shaded and I can't click on it.  is it because you have to register/pay like you do with a mircrosoft office program?

Oh oh! lol. All you have to do is open the project in Windows Movie Maker and click file> publish movie as.
Then when you upload it to youtube, use that.

I think that will solve your problem.
