Ok, so I don't know why I haven't told you about the brilliance of Katie yet. I do apologize.

I found out about Katie late 08 when I was doing research for Cayamo 09. I immediately bought her latest CD and loved it. When I saw her live on Cayamo, I totally fell in love. She does it all, folk, pop, rock. Amazing! She quickly became a member of my top 5 and I've seen her 20+ times.

Katie has had her music on mulitple episodes of, "Grey's Anatomy," "Pretty Little Liars," "One Tree Hill," "Switched at Birth," "Army Wives," "Drop Dead Diva," "Ghost Whisperer." As well as, "Bones," "Samantha Who," "Burn Notice," "Brother's and Sisters" etc. 
Her 5th album comes out on September 20th. Her music has been in movies as well as commercials for Honda and Target.

She also tours with Ten Out of Tenn. They basically are showing that more than just country music comes out of Nashville. It's a fun time. There are enough of them that they play and sing back up for each other. They each usually do 2 songs. That tour starts tomorrow. And her headline tour start Oct. 4th. She normally tours as a trio but it will be full band.

Nice pick, Let. I really like this one! The chorus is pretty magical.. and I might also add that this sounds quite appropriate for Grey's Anatomy. It's the rhythm : )

And Katie reminds me of Oh Land just a little.. especially here. I quite like it.

I am so happy you guys have listenend and taken a minute to reply. Yes!! That is what I love about her, so many layers, so many different genres she can do. This album has so much wonderful string action.

Yes, she's had many songs on Greys!! They love her as does ABC Family.

Have you guys seen the Bare Minerals commercials right now with the lady firefighter. They use Katie's songs Beautiful Inside. There are actually 3 versions I've seen 2 wiht BI and one with Hey Na Na.

Yes, I do support her 1000% and she knows and appreciates it greatly. You should definitely get the album. Everytime I listen I can't even get over how awesome it is!!

Update, the first week of the tour has been cancelled.

I'm very sorry to announce that I have had to cancel the first week of my headlining tour that was supposed to start tomorrow. My mom Cheryl, passed away this morning after many years of living with cancer. Even though she hadn't been well for a long time now, her passing was still unexpected. I will be spending this next week with my family in Colorado, saying goodbye and remembering her. She was a beautiful human being, one of the finest I've ever known and I was so blessed to have her as my mom. For this reason I had already dedicated the new album to her (which gave her many happy tears). Many of the lyrics were inspired by her. I will miss her immensely, but I will hold onto all the wisdom and love she gave me for the rest of my life.
