Vanessa Carlton vs Sylvia Plath -Essay-
« on: November 04, 2012, 03:11:30 pm »
So for my 20th Century American Poetry class in college, I'm supposed to write an essay about a 20th Century Poet and their influence today. So i've decided to do Sylvia Plath's influence on V! They are pretty similar. I think V's a bit more optimistic though hahaha! Well, if anyone has any info or ideas for my paper that'd be much appreciated! I'll post my paper when it's fairly finished!

I thought I posted on this thread a few days ago, but it seems to have disappeared..

Anyway, I would love to read your paper, as I love both SP and Vanessa. I'm not sure whether you still need ideas, but I thought perhaps you could look at similarities/differences in the mood of lexical sets, and then explore why etc..

I hope you enjoy writing it, it sounds like a lot of fun research :)
