Well, they had the lyrics posted in the YouTube description but I thought I'd post here to share with the gang! :) Enjoy all!!

Lyrics:
I will admit that you're the closest I have come
There's just something about you that I trust
I didn't say but I was sad to see you go
You went back to the ghost, I went back to what I know

Seems like every night, meet my friends at some bar
I tell myself I'm thinking but I'm just drinking
til I feel far away
Saw your buddy, said he talked to you last week
Said you seemed pretty bummed, you've been wanting to call me
do it do it do it do it
you should do it do it
do it do it

Cause now there's nothing where something used to be
Cause now there's nothing where something used to be

It's confusing cause I'm the one that left, it was pre emptive
I don't know who I am
Are we all searching for something we don't understand?
Someone else to see through our battle plans
You should do it do it
do it do it
You should do it do it
do it do it

Cause now there's nothing where something used to be
Cause now there's nothing where something used to be

I try to remember there's no future there's no past
I try to remember if it can last then it will last
Try to remember it

Cause now there's nothing where something used to be
Cause now there's nothing where something used to be

Do it do it do it do it
Do it do it do it do it
Cause now there's nothing where something used to be

Do it do it do it do it
Do it do it do it do it

Also, if anyone has seen the comments she posted in the video just have a read. This really struck a chord with me and I appreciate how real and raw V is becoming with her music.

"I like to call this song my teen break up anthem. It's not just for teenagers. Nothing is just for teenagers. The whole "do it" section in the song is about wishing someone was more courageous and open with you. I think nothing is more attractive than someone who is able to show you all their cards. So if you are on a love cliff, that super high and terrifying cliff........jump, just jump."

So great. :)

so beautiful, LOVE the message and feel of this song. very emotional and made me chuckle a little when i first heard the "you should do it, do it" line :-p

slightly reminded me of something regina spektor would've written.

this song can definitely speak out to a lot of people, can't wait to hear the album version! I'm sure it'll be just perfect!

I find this song haunting and personally touching.  The "do it, do it" lyric repeated is almost Vanessa pleading with the person she left.  The pleading is something that I think we all can relate to at different points of a relationship.  I also think the fact she left him and she wants to hear from him is particularly moving and relatable.  Relationships make no sense, they are riddled with power struggles and pleading/hoping.  One of my favorites of Vanessa's to date.

I'm liking the lyrical direction she seems to be taking with this song and Blue Pool. They're both like open letters where she's talking to someone and... it's not so much a lover or a former lover but it's like the lyrics can be extrapolated to a friend as well... I was a bit in tears over this song though. It actually gave me goosebumps and it's been a while since a song's done that to me.
