From billboard.com

Michelle Branch's "Hotel Paper" (Maverick) lands at No. 2 on The Billboard 200, with its 157,000 copies sold giving the singer her best sales week ever. Her 2001 debut "The Spirit Room" peaked at No. 28 on the tally, and sold 68,000 units during its strongest week. The new album's "Are You Happy Now?" is a top-20 hit on Billboard's Adult Top 40 Tracks chart.

My mini-review
« Reply #425 on: July 03, 2003, 10:37:51 pm »
It was a rather warm day ... A few of the MBMB members (including myself) got there at noon and basically hoarded the entire front row directly infront of the stage. I was dead center, I am kicking myself I didn't bring my camera. The only thing between us and the stage was a 4 foot fence and about 6 feet of concrete, lol.

Michelle was awesome as always, but they had some tech problems in the begining with the guitars and I think the mic she was using had a short in it, because sometimes she would be singing and you could NOT hear her. The band would drown her out, and all of a sudden she would come back on full blast like nothing happened.

While I had this drunk girl pushing on me at the end of the show trying to jump the fence so she could go get a guitar pick (despite the fact there were none thrown yet lol), I wouldn't let her, and after the show she jumped it anyway just to jump it. I was talking to the security guard about it and I asked him if I could get a setlist, and he got me one, so that was cool. Jessica Harp actually pulled it off the stage herself when she came back out after the show. JH was out on the encores of "Desperately", "Game of Love", and "Hotel Paper" ... I will fill in more later, but right now I am hot, tired, and need to go drink something. LOL.

The setlist itself :

By the way, I am thinking the x'ed out song is Where Are You Now ... I am assuming they had to cut something because the show started 15 minutes late due to tech difficulties.

After further consideration, I realized that the song that was X'ed out was X'ed out with tape, so I just kind of peeled the tape a bit and it was "Where Are You Now" LOL

Thanks Danny and Katie  :) I did enjoy the show. It was basically the same setlist as HOB Chicago except for no Where Are You Now and Jessica Harp on the encores. The show wasn't as hot as Chicago, but I enjoyed it none-the-less

How did u get the setlist?
Do u just walk up to the stage and grab it?

Over here they have barriers and guards so we cant get ne where near the stage  8O
Whats your favorite live song that she plays?

Well they do have barriers and security guards ... but when I was talking to the security guard about the girl who was behind me and wanted to jump the barrier, I asked him if he could try to get me a setlist before they just got rid of them, and he did. He was REALLY cool about it, I was happy lol.

My favorite song to hear live is probably either "Find My Way Back" or "Breathe" ... I wanted to hear "Where Are You Now" though too  :?. "Tuesday Morning" is good live too, but I love the album version lol

Yeah, pretty much LOL.

They don't do anything with it but throw it away, so I figured the worst I could do was ask and be denied but he was cool about it. Probably less for them to clean up later.
