If you're homeschooled, do you get a summer break
« on: May 28, 2003, 10:11:18 am »
Just curious

I've met a lot of homeschooled students lately, but have not had a chance to ask them.

Thanks

Chris

If your parents decide not to teach you during the summer, then yes, you do get a summer break
I think you underestimate the level of my sneakiness

Anyways, I don't think you get a summer break (I know this because I've been reading into homeschooling a lot)... But it's nice because you won't have to wake up at the butt crack of dawn to get ready for school... You can wake up at noon, and eat breakfast while you do your History...

And then you can work at your own pace... You get fed up with something? It's cool, slow down. You get something real quick like a snap? It's cool, advance... You don't have to worry about the rest of the "class" and wether or not they understand it too or not...

Anyways.... Homeschooling is a better route to take... IMO...

Why do you ask?

It sounds like a pretty easy day, but I don't think I could have handled having my mom teach me. I don't think either one of us would have had the patience for that.

Don't get me wrong though, she turned out pretty well. lol  :D

I 've just met a lot of students lately and, with summer coming up, the question just popped into my head and hasn't left. So, I got the    to ask.

Thanks,
Chris

My mom isn't going to help/teach me... I honestly don't want her to. I can't get along with her for the life of me....

So anyways, I will have my sister who graduates college in a few months help me out, plus I know a teacher who is close friends with me...

:)

I have connections...

Good to have connections.

I've only talked to one homeschooled person who is getting a summer break.  All the others (seven or eight) will be doing some studying this summer.  :|

lol, Pete, my windows are too small for bars, plus I don't plan on going out the attic windows anyways because they are the ATTIC windows, need I say more? lol... I'd rather just use the front door, haha.

Don't even talk to her... Especially about me. Good lord, I can only imagine that you in MA telling her how she, who lives with me in OH, needs to lighten up...

I can already see it... UGLY. It's always ugly. Talking only makes it worse for me. I don't talk anymore. Talking's stupid.

yeah... BREATHE for one thing...

Always down my back, always complaining. Do this, say that, listen to this, speak like this, BLINK when I TELL you to blink gosh darn it...

Every day's the same. They are repeating themselves... I feel like I live in a real life Ground-Hog's Day movie.
