I wasn't totally shocked but I was surprised how cool the show ended up being. I kinda expected a slow, quiet, short show. I was wrong. She sang her heart out and her band was amazing. The opener was Richard Julian. I met him and bought one of his cd's. He sang a couple of tunes with Norah. He is really good and super nice. They have been friends for a long time.

She was so sweet and cute the way she was acting. She said she was really nervous having to come home to Dallas and play in front of who knows how many of her old piano and music teachers from school and college. The crowd was actually lively considering it was a sold out show and there were old, rich people, families with small children, college peeps and then there were also the loud people having a good ole' time as usual.(peeps like me) anyway it still went well with the mix. It was odd having seen Widespread Panic there this last Sunday and then Norah on Wednesday just because the show was so different as well as the crowd.

Anyway you guys who have doubts about her should check her out sometime. It was a class A show. Tons of talent flowing from the stage. It's great when people of all ages, races, and places can agree on someone being a badass.

peace

I just loved the concert. She was brilliant as always and she does a haunting rendition of "Sleepless Nights." It gave me the chills much like "Twilight" does when Vanessa plays it live. Of course I had to get one of her Summer Tour button shirts. LOL

I was just looking at TV guide looking for the Vanessa Pantene concert
and found out that there will be some reruns of the "Elvis Lives"
show that Norah sang "Are You Lonesome Tonight" on. Here's the times,
dates and channels (I believe the times are EST but check your local
listings in case):
Monday, 11  7:00 PM CMT
Wednesday, 13 8:00 PM CMT
Saturday, 16 11:00 AM VH1
Saturday, 16 6:00 PM CMT
Saturday, 16 9:00 PM CMT
Thursday, 21 6:00 PM CMT

Also, Norah did an "Austin City Limits" show that will be rerun on September 27 on your local PBS station. Check local listings for more information.

well I got the cd today from the library and it's incredibly boring. I don't like her music at all now. I have listened to her music and I can honestly say now that her music is boring. Not my type of music at all.

thats my favorite too! yay! "lines on your face...dont bother me" woohoo..I love norah. and I soooo didn't jump on the Norah bandwagon. I bought her CD a week after it came out, whereas it didn't become heard of till many months later.

I dont even know their names...its one of the rare cds that I actually just listen to the whole thing in the background and dont do any track-flipping. The CDs coherent and seamless enough that thats possible. Which is hard to find now I think. Thats one of the reasons I like it so much.
