Hell, don't even pass it on if it is real! Not everyone runs Windows! I do my mail in mail.app on Mac OS X. And besides, why do you need to tell people? Most computers have several viruses on them already. They need to learn how to avoid this stuff to begin with. Or at least get a decent virus scanner.
What the hell is up with the message itself? It screams "hoax!" What screen name is it going to steal? AIM? MSN? ICQ? Forum names? Jabber? Yahoo!?
Crash my HD? Ignoring the fact that the binaries/scripts wouldn't do anything on my system, how the hell is it going to crash my HD? Corrupt it maybe. Not crash it.
Microsoft announcing it? Microsoft doesn't announce viruses.
AOL not knowing how to stop it? Seems accurate to me.
Where are the references to the AOL/Microsoft statements, residing on their public servers?
