1) I was wondering if anyone thought there were any certain groups or cliques on the board. I'm just curious, and bored out of my mind.

2) I like the word clique.

well theres always bound to be certain ppl who are better friends with some ppl than others but when doesnt that happen? everyones atleast friendly and civil towards eachother.... i know that much! i like everyone here.... soo... yeah ok im done lol

There are cliques here, there are cliques at my school but everyone's still nice to each other most of the time at my school, and here also.

Though there are some things here that have been going on, which I won't shout out to everyone, and there have been alot of people that have had problems with this board/the people/mods etc. even a few people from their own VCUB, but people here try the best they can to get along with people most of the time, and I think that is what counts.

well, interesting question. The answer is Yes, of course there are cliques here. There are cliques in life, it doesn't mean they would go away because everyone is on a forum. Also, those of you who ask if you're in a clique? The answer is Yes, you are. By posting on this board alone you're in a clique of nothing but Vanessa Carlton fans... we have a Vanessa Carlton clique

Clique by definition :
a narrow exclusive circle or group of persons; especially : one held together by common interests, views, or purposes

That doesn't imply a negative connotation so people shouldn't assume that because we have cliques we have a bad board.

Everyone who has met other people, we have a diff clique because of what they have in common from that specific trip. Also those that you talk to outside of the forums on AIM, etc will have a specific clique because if inside jokes. Yes, the Mods have somewhat of a clique, primarily because to keep things far and keep each other in the loop we talk a LOT... if that is what you (or others) might have been thinking about with regards to the board cliques. In addition, there are several people that are not Mods etc that i have met or talk to often that i feel comfortable with or close to.

Now, on the flip side. There *are* people here i don't know incredibly well. That does not mean i think ANY less of them. They just don't know me as well and visa versa. I would like to know everyone incredibly well but oof, the time it takes... eek

Yeah I guess there are.....the key word is, "exclusive." In my daily life I hang out with alot of groups of people who are not exclusive and that is how I like it. That is why I like SF rather than Reno because there are more open groups of people who just mingle or such......

But I also hang around exclusive groups but I've always have been against the type of snobbiness some people portray. I really don't like small groups of people as much as the large crowd. I guess I just meet people I really like and want as friends in large groups.

I've always have been an individual a bit on the weird side too. It's hard being green in small exclusive groups. At least from my experience.

the only "clique" i can think of that exists on this board would be the VCUBs. However, I don't classify them as a typical "clique" because they are made up mostly of the mods, admins and NESSAholics who have been here from the beginning and given us this wonderful site. and if you read the FAQ's you'll see that it's not an all exclusive thing, everyone could have the oppertunity to get in (correct me if i'm wrong but that's how i interpreted it). when i first read about it i thought "wow, that's something for me to aspire to be in" and I still do. I honestly think we are more of a community than a group of cliques, we all feed off of and support one another, and that's a great thing.

I think there are cliques here and they aren't always the good ones. Sorry thats just bullshit. I don't know...since the people in the cliques are popular they don't realize how left out some people feel....ie no one replying to their posts which are somewhat important. Yet, if someone who is popular makes a post that says " I like to like armpits" It'll get a ton of replies. So I don't see how you can say their are no cliques or we are all one big clique. No it's totally untrue. Some of you think you are so much better then the rest of us...ya it's true and you know it...It's almost like school just you have the choice of comming back or not. I can stay on here and have people roll there eyes at me and be rude to me and then in return talk to some people who I have become close to OR I can leave and not have to deal with the cliques and bitches and not talk to the people I have become close to. Hmmmmmmmmm. The only thing is...no matter how much I rant and rave about this subject.....I'm right and maybe people know that.....the cliques will never think I'm right and they will go about with their noses up. I don't know....maybe if you weren't treated like you were gods you would understand how it is.

Also.....since I'm having a really pissy day and I feel like spilling my feelings out about anything...I think it was wrong of "The clique" to go about making this board and then going on the o-board and saying how much better this board might be. Sure....this is a good board but god for like 3 months everyother topic was about nessaholics.com. Plus the nessaholic banners?

? I also heard rumors about you all wanting vanessa to make this the offical site. I don't know why you all don't think thats rude but god! It's like.....you all wanted more power for the clique and so you made this and BOOM you are the biggest fans! Well you're all the biggest fans in my mind now! For sure! And also so cool and I want to be just like you all someday and be rude to people who aren't as popular and then act like I'm the nicest person...ohhh something to look forward to!
