online/long distance love can work
it's hard but if you really love that person........and that person really loves you back, you have to be able to make it work, one way or another

I also think that most people type better than they talk (myself, for instance)
that way, it's easier to learn to know the other person better...
As long as you both speak nothing but the truth, ofcourse!!
I have heard of some freaking internet/"love" stories, that one person told nothing but lies, and totally deceived the other.

you know what I mean?

Jen, is Brad your online/long distance love then?

Errrm!

I met a girl in Alabama before, and she lived in Florida and me in South Carolina...and we were wanting to date...but the whole, only taking on the phone and internet wasn't as much fun as when we were in Alabama...

Hmmm

Yeah, that is why I really think you should find out for sure, if this guy is for real
Did you see his pics?
Did you talk to him on the phone?
Have you two met?
Spent time together?

It's hard, bc I think when you tell people you met on the net, they will think that you're a weirdo and even worse
But if you really want to be together, and if he feels the same way
GO FOR IT!!!

online/long distance love is verrry possible. i mean i didnt meet my boyfriend online but he lives almost 4 hours away and that and talking on the phone are our two main ways of communicating.  we dont see eachother much at all but its been working for almost 6 months now, and you dont have to spend a lot of time w/a person to be in love with them, ive spent 9 whole days with my boyfriend in the past 5 months, yeah it sucks a whole lot but we love eachother sooo much, and we make it work, and we figure since we'll finally be living in the same city in a year that if we can get through this distance thing for a lil while longer that we can make it through anything.   distance actually strengthens a relationship...... im prolly going completely off topic soooooo im done:)

Lisa and I were dating for only 2 months when I was called up to go to Bosnia.  I told her that I would understand if she wanted to move on.  I didn't feel that after two months I had the right to ask her to "wait for me."  But she said she would.  We wrote lettersback and forth almost every day... and I called her whenever I could.  (Internet was quite difficult to come by over there.)  But over the distance our relationship actually grew stronger than I think it ever could have had we been together all that time.  We built our relationship on an emotional level and an intellectual level, rather than a quick physical level like so many relationships get started today.  And now, 8 years later, 6 dating and 2 married... I wouldn't trade that long distance part of our rlationship for anything... it's what gave us the foundation for what we have...

i could not agree more with you.  and when u finally get to see eachother its soooo much more special than when u just get to see eachother all the time. u truely cherish the time you have together and make the most of it.  i'm glad that we have to deal with the distance actually, but eventually when we get to live in the same city... we'll be so much stronger because of surviving that distance:)

btw- its really nice and reassuring to hear about you and your wife making it after the distance.  i love hearing how it works out!
