Why hasn't he been noticed here before? :) If you don't know his music, check it out. It's pretty accesible, yet emotionally rich..... love his first album, Welcome to the Cruel World.

Yeah I just came back from one of his concerts.  I had a blast.  It seems to have alot of different influences.  Like maybe soul, country, Reggie, hip hop, Rock, Hard Rock, gospel, and Heavy Metal.  The concert was completely sold out as well.  I got in free because I'm working with someone who works on the margarita and mudslide machines.  I'm helping him fix and move those machines around town.  As well as rebuilding motors from some other company.  Anyway, I've never even heard his music so it is hard to determine percisely what the mix of influences are.  But that was my impression.

Very Cool! He's playing in Amsterdam in a few weeks, but it's already completely sold out!! Darn. He really makes the mix of influences work: it doesn't sound awkward when he decides to use his distortion-pedal :)
and, minor note, it's reggae :))

i saw him at Pepsi Smash and he was pretty good! i love his song "Stealin' Kisses"
"i'm willing to do anything
to calm the storm in my heart
i've never been the praying kind
but lately i've been down upon my knees
not looking for a miracle
just a reason to believe"
