"I, I know what you did" is how it starts
"Like a boy something something with his first kiss" I think..

She says "We're back in San Francisco" a few times

also mentioned "my utopia" in there somewhere... and steinbeck as well =)

"as the ocean rises, sun is fading"

i'm going off memory on what lines/words/etc stuck out for me

It ended with "I know what you did, in San Francisco" i think

Not sure if this helps, but it's similar to Afterglow.  Seems more light than Be Not Nobody in general, different than C'est La Vie and Papa which to me are harder.  Maybe the others can chime in... i really like how much she has grown as an artist.. very impressive

what do you mean she's grown? is her voice range better or she's just overall more mature with her music?
(not that her style was bad or anything before....)

right, i loved the style on BNN, it just seems that she has changed (grown) as an artist into a new direction.  Her songs have a different lighter feel to me.  I think it is very dependant on the time in her life she wrote X song and perhaps with her current relationship she is just much happier in life?  Also, if you listen to any boots from her earlier shows, or even the CD... and compare them to audio recordings from some of the last shows on her tour, her voice is noticably different.  I think she built up stamina to sing with so much touring and perhaps learned new techniques to singing better?  not sure... but she sounds like she has evolved a lot... which i think is great. =)

I've been to quite a lot of concerts lately for various artists and she is one of the most consistent performers i've seen, *and* is great, if not better live than on the CD which is incredibly rare.  Hope that helps to clarify what i was getting at by "grown" :)

Ok i have to know, did you type it kaita on purpose?  I only find that amusing because when signing things (by typing) like emails or posts... i mis-type my name quite often and spell it kaita instead of katia ;)  so it's like this ongoing joke

damn i mis-typed the admins. name! *gives myself permission to fail*...

lol actually i have no idea why "i" put the i there....I didn't do it on purpose...lol But lately i have been spelling my last name wrong, which is not good because it is part of my e-mail address and if i sign up for something and they send my password i can't use that name unless i contact the mod or something *stops rambling.*

anyway...sorry i didn't do it on purpose.

No Prob, sorry it wasn't clear in the first time.  If i can think of any other lyrics, i'll add them as well!  Have you been to any concerts recently, did you notice the change over time with her live show?

oh no. i wish!!! lol. yeah, i didn't find out who Nessa was untill august, and never really got to be a fan till december, and by that time, she had already left St.Louis....

so no, i haven't heard, or seen Vanessa live. i really wish i had gone to the concert when she came here. but i didn't know who she was.... major bummer.

but that's good to hear that she's made progress in her voice and style. i just can't wait till the new album, and this time i'm for sure going to see her when she comes here. (i hope she comes here. lol)

Gotcha, well... i can confirm that you will not be disappointed! :)  Especially with a combination of songs from the old album, and new album!  ooh i'm sure it'll only be better than the last tour.  You've downloaded some of the live shows though from the last tour, right?
