would you/did you vote yes or no on the California recall?
today is election day... so i decided to make this poll!

and it doesnt matter if you live in Cali or not... what do you think of it?

we had a mock election at school today... and 76% of the students thought there should be a recall. 59% think Arnold should be govenor, about 14% want McClintock and like 4% want Bustamante (sp?) and the other % went to other candidates. and 53% voted no on prop 54.

it should be intresting to see how Cali voted!! i wish i coulda... but i'm not 18 for 2 months, lol.

I don't think you should be able to undo an election after the fact so I voted no. If the recall goes through I'm signing recall petitions for everybody that gets elected from now on just to prove how stupid the idea is. I've wanted to recall Bush since he got in but no such luck. LOL

i think the recall should happen, cause Gray Davis hasnt been doing a good job so far... so why let it get worse? Cali is in a bad situation already, why should we dig ourselves into a deeper hole?
i dont think after we vote someone in an office that it should be necessary for them to stay there for 4 years, cause sometimes they dont do what they said they were going to do when they were campaigning for the position and end up doing a really bad job.

I don't think Davis is entirely to blame for our problems. The deficit is due to mostly the whole energy scandal with Enron and the terrible shape America is in financially. He deserves some blame but not all of it. All politicians promise to do things they don't do. It's just the nature of politics because you need to get votes. I'd like to see some with the guts to tell people the truth that you can't have everything. Either no tax raises or no deficit.
