I need help.

I have this friend who wants to take her life away and so I cried today and I told her I needed to get her help. She said she would take the help only if her parent's didn't have to be involved with it. Do you think a highschool guidence office would call her house if I requested it to stay within just the 3 of us? And she could just get help from the school psychologist. Or the second that I tell them will they call her house and send her to a out side psyciatrist who will push her father to kill herself??


I need help for her. :cry:

If you want to keep this secret, don't tell the school counselors. They are compelled by law to report suicidal behavior and thoughts.

yes they are mandated.... keeping it a secret is not a good idea... if you thin they will seriously do it... you should tell someone.... she might be mad at you for it...but she would be alive none the less.

Well... maybe I pushed my luck before.... but......

Most people don't have the guts to follow through with suicide, especially if a good friend is trying to get them to change their mind. Lots of hugs and listening normally does the trick. Then you need to convince them to seek out help on their own.

I think she does though. I'm scared. A few years ago I had the guts to do it...I took a whole bottle of zyrtec but g-d must have been looking out for me and saved me. but ya anyways.....no one else has the balls to do anything and so if I don't do anything soon she'll be gone.  :cry: I just have no where else to turn but guidence.

i think that if you really want to help your friend you will tell someone.  Even if your friend doesn't want to go through with suicide and is asking for attention, then tell a councelor and give her the attention she wants.

yea... i agree... you better tell someone. she will be mad at you, but i think later when she thinks about it she'll realise you only care about her and that you want the best for her.
