Tony Thompson, extraordinary drummer, R.I.P.

I am so very sad. If you don't know who this guy is/was, take a listen to Chic's "Le Freak", The Power Station's "Bang A Gong", Madonna's "Like A Virgin", Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out"(recently sampled), Robert Palmer's "Addicted To Love".....these were KILLER, sledgehammer, John Bonham-like grooves(Tony was a big fan). Tony also played with Led Zeppelin THEMSELVES at Live Aid in 1985, as well as David Bowie, Mick Jagger, the list goes on......you can see what kind of musician he was.
He was only 48. Things like this remind me that life isn't fair.
