Thanks for the article Aaron.

While watching Comedy Inc on channel 9 tonight, a late night news update reported that Delta has been rushed to a hospital in Athens with a fever.
Lets hope that she recovers ASAP.  :(
Her performance at the Aussie team's party in Greece was brilliant, she looked stunning.

Goodrem Released From Hospital
Quote
Was it all too much for Delta Goodrem?

The singer was admitted to hospital in Athens just hours after performing for Australian Olympians at a team reception and sharing an intimate dinner with boyfriend Mark Philippoussis.

Australian officials said Goodrem had a low-grade fever and was being also treated as a precaution because of her battle with Hodgkin's disease, a type of cancer.

Goodrem was released from hospital on Thursday afternoon and returned to the Greek capital's Hilton Hotel in an ambulance, entering the building in a wheelchair, looking ill, eyewitnesses said.

Goodrem's mother Lea said the Logie winner would not go home early and still planned to attend the Olympics opening ceremony.

"We've been informed that Delta Goodrem has been admitted to hospital with a slight fever and that during the rehearsals yesterday (for last night's function) she was not feeling very well," Australian Olympic Committee vice president Peter Montgomery said.

However he added: "There was no sign of that last night. She sang brilliantly."

Australian team doctors have ensured Greek medical staff knew of Goodrem's recovery from Hodgkin's disease, a type of cancer that affects the lymph glands.

Australian Olympic chief John Coates sent her flowers.

It was unclear when Goodrem was admitted to hospital.

Philippoussis was in good spirits during tennis practice, joking with teammates and the media, and it was not known whether at that stage he was aware of his girlfriend's condition.

Last night Goodrem, 19, looked radiant as she performed Advance Australia Fair and two of her own songs at the team reception at Athens' Pentelikon estate.

After signing autographs and posing for photographs, she and Philippoussis then sat alone at an outdoor table, displaying an affection for each other not seen in public before.

Philippoussis, whose father is Greek, is competing at his third Olympics.

Before singing her last song last night, Goodrem brought raucous cheers from her audience when she wished them luck in the days to come.

"I know how hard everyone has worked to be here representing Australia, so good luck," said Goodrem, who flew into Athens on Tuesday.

"Not that you need luck, but I wish you every success and joy over the next couple of weeks."

She spoke of her excitement at singing for Australia's athletes.

"To be here on behalf of the country and singing the national anthem and singing in front of the team, I'm so thrilled," Goodrem said.

But Goodrem's mother warned last night her daughter needed to be careful as she recovered from her battle with cancer.

"As long as she doesn't overdo it. She needs to look after herself," said Lea Goodrem.

Lea Goodrem told Australian Olympic officials her daughter was very tired after her flight to Greece and was also "a little dehydrated and that she had a low-grade fever".

"She's undergoing tests under the care of her doctor," Montgomery said on behalf of Mrs Goodrem.

"She has spoken to her doctor in Australia and is planning to attend the opening ceremony."
Coates said last night that Goodrem's battle with Hodgkin's disease had made her the perfect person to cheer on the Australians.

"She is a very special person and she has had her battles - and I think it is quite appropriate she got to talk to our team before they went into battle," Coates said.

The DJ @ the wedding reception tonite played Big Yellow Taxi so I asked 4
ATM and he played it! The Aussie highlight was Pete Murray's So Beautiful!

The DJ played Lost Without You and everyone asked me if I'd requested it;
I found out that my older bro's fave track from IE is actually Innocent Eyes!
