If the Mom is Jewish, the children normally are. 'Tis why I am not. My Mommy's a Catholic, my Dad's a Jew - You know why he's a Jew but DURBIN isn't a Jewish last name? 'Cause my Grandmother on my Dad's side was a Jew. :) My Grandpa is a Catholic, I think, though I think he's just as confused as I am about whether he is or isn't.

I'm a Catholic. "Totally" a Catholic, too. Scratch the part where I said I was "half a Jew" because I'm not - My Dad's a Jew. Not me.

My Mom's family are all Catholics. There are about 18 zillion more of them than on my Dad's side, so that ALMOST makes me . . . Right.

my mom is catholic and my dads jewish but I'm jewish because they let me chose my religon and I decided after 12 yeras of life that I have no clue how jesus came to become gods son. Therefor I'm a jew. Oh,also,I wasn't baptized as a catholic but when I was a baby I was given a Jewish name...yet I forget it. I'll have to ask my father.

Shalom!

why not? It's not like I really practice my religon but...they left the door open for me to pick. I do wish that both my parent's were the same religon and/or practiced religon. I wish that I practiced my religon but whatever. I can't have everything I want. Just sometimes I feel really empty. Sometimes people don't realize how lucky they are to have faith and stuff.

Well, I could say, "my crazy white mother," but does that mean I'm Asian? Or, I could say, "my crazy Catholic mother," but does that mean I'm a Baptist?
