it's kinda sad... I don't see how people can get pleasure in causing animals pain.

Totally agree.

You actaully know Barista's who have tipped cows?  Wow.  You really do know alot of people.

But seriously, as far as I know there is a real potential that the cow will be permanently hurt from tipping.

Just for the record.  You can tip a cow over just like you can any animal.  They can and do get up and the cow will most likely try to STOP you from knocking it over.  Cows do not sleep standing up though... which is the common myth about cow tipping.  They are not generally hurt by it (i mean, come on.  How much damage would it do you to call over?  Like we haven't all tripped and fallen before?).

If there is a bull in the field, DO NOT EVEN TRY TO DO IT.  I am speaking from experience on this one.  The bull will likely chase you.

Anyone who thinks this is "cruelty" to animals is just silly.  As I said, it's annoying to the cow, but it doesn't hurt the thing.

First of all, LMAO @ Andrew being chased by a bull.

Secondly, this thread reminds me of putting Bee's on strings!! Ahhh so funny.

Alas my friend you are wrong, i do remember vaguely when i was younger being chased by the bull in the field next to my Granny's house.  However, i think i have probably blocked it out due to trauma.

P.S It is also blatantly your fault for attempting to tip a cow in the first place, one word- FOOL.

One of the people my stepfather insures has two cows and someone tipped one of them, broke all the cows ribs and it had to be put to sleep.  Its about 800 pounds falling on bones that are unable to support that type of impact......It is possible to do but like others said its very dangerous and if you tip a cow you will most likely cause irreversible damage...Cows are gentle animals by nature and provide us with food and drink....if you arent a vegetarian, But either way, cowtipping is for jocks, cant stand stupid crap like that.

I would think also that whoever owns the cow wouldn't want you to tip it because it might affect the produtivity of the cow.  Either in meat or milk.
