Don't laugh

Anywho, my birthday's coming up on Friday.  Since we're all busy on Friday, the crew is going to party come Saturday.

But anywho, here's the deal.  We're going to a strip club.  But I've never been to one--and without sounding like a total dork (even though I am)--I don't want to go and end up making a fool out of myself.  I'm not sure on the "etiquette" of these places besides the obvious "no touching" rule.

So any guys/girls that have been to a gentlemen's club should help me out with any knowledge they can.  How much money should I take?  How much do you tip a girl if she comes over to the table?  How much is the average dance?  How much do you tip?  Blah blah, blah blah, blah blah.

I'm totally serious--be as helpful as you can.  Only serious responses need reply.

Ok.... well, I can help you out here.

The basics.  Take atleast 10 bucks in ones for every 2 hours you plan on being there.

If a stripper is on stage and she walks over to you, giver her a dollar.  The method for delivering said dollar depends on the quality of the strip club.  If it's kind of a smaller slightly sleezier crowd then it might be acceptable to do things like, putting the dollar in your mouth or behind your ear or in the brim of your hat and make her work for it.  That's always the most fun and in all honesty the strippers make more that way.

If it is more of a "gentlemen's club" then the best you will probably get is putting it in her g string or handing it to her.

Lap dances are like 20-40 bucks for a song, and often times it is expected that you tip during the lap dance.  When in doubt, have a few ones during the dance.  If they have a back room for dances, then you most likely don't want to tip during the dance cause you are paying too much already.

also, if a stripper sits down with you for like 2 minutes, she is going to try and get you to either A) buy her a drink (which is BS because basically you are paying for her time and the house gets most of the money.  So the stripper gets screwed on that anyways) or B) buy a lap dance.  She's not sitting there cause she thinks you're cute.

And don't feel obligated to get a lap dance.  I know many people who have been to half a dozen strip clubs and never gotten a lap dance.

Ummm.... that's about it.  Otherwise, just don't be rowdy and don't get too drunk.  They will throw your ass out of a stip club in a hurry for that.

no touching rule?  nonsense, they are already degrading themselves, touch until you get kicked out, and for a real laugh see what they do when you try to slip a quarter in their g string, and dont forget to get really drunk and thrown out, They like when you do that because they know that once you are trashed you will give them every cent you have,  Then it takes about 14 300 pound guys to move you outside,  oh my, in fact just stand outside all night and laugh every time someone gets tossed out the door, then grab one of the strippers for 100 bucks at the end of the night and take her home,  In fact your friends should throw you a party and have a stripper come there, get as drunk as you want, and hopefully no one throws you out when its your own birthday

PS: id probably listen to Andrew though i have no idea what im talking about

Kind of dissapointing really.

We have a no-alcohol-on-Sunday policy here in the State of Georgia.  You can have it, drink it, etc.  But you can't buy alcohol on the sabbath.  Since we were going on a Saturday, we went to the South Carolina line (only an hour away) where we thought they sold alcohol past 12a.  Turns out it's a local thing in SC, and they also stopped selling at midnight.  Because business slows so drastically, they close at 2.  Plus, a slower night means they don't exactly put their "star" hos on.

I had fun, and I'll go again, just on a Friday.

Bummer.  Georgia sucks.  In KY clubs are open till 4AM on fri and sat.  Well, no harm in taking it easy on your first time out.
