we have many churches here...so many!

we have more catholic/christian one's though, so you see lots of people with the oh so holy ash cross!

Whoa that's alot of churches! My town is uber small, around a population of 9,000.

It's so weird because when the priest for St.Barts (the Italian church, the one i go to) left, the priest from St. Pauls (The Irish one) had to start doing masses at both churches, and everyone got really upset! None of the churches wanted to mix, it was so weird! they still really don't. I don't really see what the big deal is, but hey that's just me :-P I think it's because the people at St. Pauls tend to be more uppity, more high class than us lowely wops :razz: But they do make one mean fish fry  8)  oooh i can't wait till friday!!!!

Me too.  I tried but gave up because they were coming out of my head faster then I could get them down.

We'll say I live in a German/French/Irish-almost town. Okay?

I live in St. Joseph, which is near GERMAN (PARIS-)TOWN. So. Not really fun. You know, brown hair. Sometime red. Blondes aren't too common. Who knows. You know, these days, everyone I know has blue or green or grey eyes.

And mine are brown.

You will never hear me NOT complain about my natural eye colour.

sooo just got back and here i am with ashes on my head... i keep wanting to rub it off.. not intentionally but i hate having things on my face like that.  lol oh well only keepin it on til bed neways.  

and yes, no meat on Ash Wednesday... or Fridays during Lent  :?   and i hate fish

I'm not Catholic, but I did go to Ash Wednesday liturgy! I didn't get the ashes on my forehead (i'm baptist christian, we dont do that), but my friend's did.
