what gigs have you done? i've done a couple ones with the jazz band, but for Easter i'm doing one at a Baptist church. i got a call from the musical director there and he said that he hired symphony and professional musicians to play at the Easter services and he also wanted some younger people in the orchestra so he said he saw one of my concerts and wanted to know if i would play at the services. and he said he'd pay me 75 bucks! 8O . so yeah, i was in. lol. it's really cool though, i get to play with St. Louis syphony players. the guy said i'd play 2nd trumpet, and there would be a pro on 1st chair. so yeah, i'm excited.
so have any of you done any gigs/concert event things?

When I was in a metal band, I'd have a gig about twice a month. We would occasionally play for the local junior high. Lame, eh?
Christmas before last, I was paid to go play Christmas music along with a flutist friend of mine. I've done some solo stuff lately. Jazz band is currently doing about one a month.

I've done soooo many gigs I can't count...I've played everywhere you can think of, from in the snow down the bottom of the south island in concert band (me playing Timpanis in it) to lots and lots of competitions playing piano (I can't believe I've been playing piano for nine years now!)
I've also played random other gigs...and I've done jazz, tap and highland fling dancing and I got paid money for performing them
