grey pop-ups
« on: March 20, 2004, 09:50:58 am »
how do you get rid of the lil grey pop-ups?! I have aol which has pop up controls, but that only gets rid of the pop-ups on sites, not these.
they are driving me crazy! haha.
I pushed them off to the side of the screen cause i was sick of x'ing out of them every 3-5 mins, and they got built up! I just got rid of all of them and decided to count how many there were... 937!!   8O  And they're all different sizes, so i had to move my mouse to click "ok" everytime. It took forever.
So if anyone knows how to get rid of them, please let me know!

I'm not sure what kind of pop-ups they are but you might have a spyware on your comp Holly.
You should go there: http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10214379.html?tag=lst-0-2
It's a FREE software that gets rid of all the spywares that may be on your hard drives.
Just download it and scan your comp.
Let me know if you need some help with it.
Hopefully it'll solve your problem.  8)

I have Adaware and SS&D too, they work very well
I used to have those pop ups too, and I made a thread about it on this board, I think it was either Pete or Kev who advised me to get those programmes
They work like a charm

It can be spelt either way. Though the English (and downright proper!) way is 'Grey'.

Why is it downright proper? I believe gray is proper just because I was taught to spell it like that. Just as you have grown up spelling it grey. Both are proper.
