m 125 boy, What'd you do?? How did you get it?????

I was on this one board I frequent and someone was offering three invites, first come first serve, in his sig. I was number 2. Third is already taken.

Mandi gets first dibs on any invites if I get them. If I get more than one, you guys can argue over who gets the rest.

If you don't know anybody with invites and want one badly enough. Try this.

http://www.gmailswap.com/

Or you could try ebay. A few weeks ago they were going for $100, but gmail staff flooded the market with invites to stop people selling them. You can get one now for a few dollars.

Haha!

I was hoping for kev@gmail.com, but they don't let you pick one that short. Had to settle for kev222.

not that kev@ wouldn't have been taken in microseconds anyway.

I know...I'm fine with hotmail or whatever. I normally used my @LinkinPark.com address, but since I'm not renewing LPU, I'm losing that address in 9 days

So I'm sadly trying to come up with a clever new sn for my new email.

Now that Yahoo! has 100MB, I don't need GMail, but I would really like one.

Whatever I'm just gonna go ahead and buy an invite off of eBay...seems like the easiest and cheapest way to me... :D

EDIT: I just won an auction for the service...$8.36.  Still good!!!!

It's like livejournal all over again.

Soon enough they'll be free and you won't need invites. Just like livejournal, everyone scrambled to get codes, then they were free and people got multiple accounts, for no reason!

The invites are only being used for the duration of the beta testing. They want to limit users while they get bug reports/feature requests. Once beta testing is finished the invites will be history.
