okay....has anyone been watchin' lately as this guy Ken Jennings just destroys all his competition???  he has won over a million now and is like a 35 day champ (and rising)....


I don't know about you peeps, but I smell "Quiz Show 2".......remember the first movie about the scandal back in the 50's, where a guy figures out that the game shows are fixed?

Come on...they have to be feeding the guy the answers....it's all for ratings i think........

I've been watching the seemingly unstoppable Ken Jennings on Jeopardy.... I don't think it is fixed, because it seems like Alex trebek gets more flustered everyday.  At first, this guy made me watch jeopardy again, but now I find it so boring, because I just know he's going to win.  I respect his intelligence but come on, can't anyone beat him?

eh...it's all an act by Trebek.....he's in on it....it's all just a big fascade (and no...i have no idea how to spell fascade)

I remember some report a couple years ago that jeopardy was rigged. And I do think this whole thing has become a ratings sweep. They had a story on AOL about how their ratings have soared since he started hitting the big bucks, plus they used to have a 5 day limit, and it was soo often that anyone would win 5 in a row!

I have, however, watched jeopary since, well, all my life. dale's a real freak about it and makes us all watch.  :roll:

I must admit, I am a little suspicious of Ken Jennings' background or his least explanation of it.
 He claims he's a "software engineer," however he has at some point on the show made comments about how he's  a "computer engineer"...no big deal right? WRONG.  Those 2 fields are very different.. I recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science and software engineering and computer engineering are 2 separate career & educational paths.
 Another thing concerns me..his "education"..I read an article where it mentions how he majored in english lit (or a related field), yet it mentions no further education...usually to become a "Software or comnputer engineer" you need to obtain a degree from an accredited instiution.
Albeit, perhaps he got into the field during the dotcom explosion but it still rubs me the wrong way.

i've only seen a few episodes with him, and he really seems like a cocky prick........

and i really doubt that the whole thing's a scandal.
i highly doubt it.
i'm sure it's been looked into because you've got all these people saying "ahhh it's impossible. he can't be THAT smart"
it's quite unbelievable his intelligence but im pretty sure it's the real deal.

nevertheless,
i respect him
i don't perceive him to be cocky at all.

i disagree....he come's off extremely cocky, especially since he went over the million dollar mark.....

AND WHY WHY WHY WHY MUST HE ANSWER ALL OF THE QUESTIONS THE SAME WAY....LIKE HE'S QUESTIONING HIMSELF...........EVERY TIME.....it's annoying and I can't wait for him to lose.....

but how?

i have a funny feeling he resigns or something.
