Jesse Plays Guitar!
Well, you probably knew that already. But what you probably didn't know is that he's currently playing guitar for Morrissey. Morrissey's standard guitar man is unwell; while we're not sure how long Jesse will be filling this gig, we do know that he will appear with the band on the Craig Kilbourne Show this Thursday, July 22.

Splendid EP 2004 / Album 2005
Official word on the Splendid release front is that an EP is scheduled for a November release in Australia. Angie says that it will be available online before that, though she didn't specify a timeframe. Splendid's anticipated album is slipping to a 2005 release. I'll keep you posted on both releases as information trickles down the ladder."

i feel like soooo slow - so first out i found out jesse was playing with angie - from one of my all time favorite bands frente - now i find out he is married to her - crazy stuff

Angie Hart is Australian i think.
I swear she is, ill do some research bc its going to annoy me lol and i really loved her old music. i loved it and also Splendid features on the Buffy the vampire slayer soundtrack

ooh ooh i like this topic!

Splendid are awesome. I saw them at every show during their residency at the Rob Roy in Melbourne last year, then I saw their last string of shows in Melbourne a few months ago..they freaking played in an art gallery!

Their new EP is totally rad, and I haven't stopped palying it.

Yep, Angie's Australian. And Frente are playing a reunion show next year, I can't wait

They broke up not too long ago

On a semi-related note, I'm seeing Frente! on Saturday night.

i am jealous - i love frente - splendid was husband and wife though - and so did jesse and angie split up?

Splendid are still together (although their last tour didn't involve Jesse) - they just put out a new EP. Jesse and Angie broke up, but he's expected to tour the band with her later this year.

I'll let you know how Frente are! I'll have lots of photos, and a review!

Okay..through my alcohol induced haze, I'll tell you a little of what happened..after the show at least.

Simon (the guy from Frente) is putting me on the guestlist at the next gig. I'm doing an interview/photo shoot with them.
