Check her out..She sings this new song called "Easy Breezy." The song starts out sounding like an idiotic teeny ringtone, and then has this horrid bridge with..."You're easy breezy and I'm japaneeze.." And then to top it off, (I saw her on a banner ad) it says she's sold OVER 20 MILLION RECORDS!! Of course, I don't think any of those were in the United States, we have better tastes in music, we've got multi-platinum artists like: Ashlee Simpson, Avril Lavigne, Evanescence, Hilary Duff, Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Simple Plan, ICP, Hanson, and so much more. So welcome to the U.S. Utada, you're hard to pronounce name will help get you no-where along with your shitty song.

Btw...only two stations are playing "Easy Breezy." One station played it 8 times this past week, the other played it 7.

changed the title just so people know who it's about...I don't know any other Utadas...but yeah, there might be somewhere.

Haha!! They played her on Battle of the Newbee's (Yes Bee's). After they play both songs, during the next song, it is your time to vote, and then they play what people had to say about the songs on the radio. And the first one was this girl saying, "Please don't ever play that Japaneeze song again!" And it was hillarious that Easy Breezy didn't get ANY votes!

Utada Hikaru totally pwns, she sings a song called "Simple and Clean" on the soundtrack to Kingdom Hearts. Which is one of the most awesome games ever.

I didn't get into her Exodus album (it's the English one) but I don't know, her Japanese songs sound more appealing to me!

It's called Ultra Blue and kicks major butt!

I love Utada Hikaru!

I discovered her from Kingdom Hearts, with Simple and Clean..
I love both the japanese and english versions.

I also like her song Passion, which is the theme to Kingdom Hearts II

I have a bunch of her songs, one of my favorites is 'You Make Me Want To Be A Man'

she has loads of great songs, and loads of just ok songs :lol:
but she is amazing.

Anyway... I absolutely adore Utada Hikaru. Easy Breezy was just a song to show that she can be fun and playful. It was her first real album in the US, and she needed something catchy for her first single (sold poorly here, but that was due to poor promotion).

The TC seemed very arrogant... glad he's banned =P

There's a reason she's one of the top selling Japanese artists of all time (36-40 million records total)...

Utada is amaaazing. She's easily my favorite artist, AND she's working on a brand new english album, she's in NYC (Where she was born and is from) meeting with Island/Def Jam records right now. It's pretty exciting.

Her last english language album didn't have the impact that was originally desired in America, but it was still huge in Asia and other parts of the world. Hopefully this round she'll find the success and fame she's achieved in Asia. She is HUGE HUGE HUGE in Japan, she's Japan's top selling female artist of all time. And that's saying a lot, because Japan has the second largest music industry after the United States.

So you guys better watch out, lol. Because she's coming back here.
