Also, can explain what the re-release of her album was all about? I'm assuming they wanted to intrigue the One Tree Hill audience, but it seems sort of silly.

I don't know if they wanted her to seem brand new or what.  The re-release did give them the opportunity to put out a new album cover based on the look of the Mia character.  And, to my extreme liking, Target came out with acoustic bonus tracks with the re-release.  It may seem silly, but catering to the OTH crowd has obviously paid off.

It was not much of a re-release. It's the same artwork as the first edition. They just added a little sheet that works as a new cover, but you can take it off if you want. And yeah, I suppose it's to attract the OTH crowd.

You don't always have to be sad, Alanis.  :o

I think you might be a good candidate for the Target Bonus Edition.

If you hate thriftiness, then you'll curl up into a fetal position when I tell you the story of the changing cover for Michelle Branch's "Spirit Room' CD. They flipped the lyric book around.

^Actually, I'm glad I didn't buy "both" editions xD I was a die hard fan of Michelle back in the day, and had the intention of buying the cd with different covers. Thank god I only had money to buy one, and when I came home realized it was the same thing, just flipped. I would've been PISSED if I had bought both 8O

I bought the Target edition of Kate's album, so I don't mind it's the same as the first issue, because it has the 3 acoustic songs. I can't complain :D

Here is the FULL music video for "Lift Me Up", Kate's song on the 2008 Team USA Olympics soundtrack.  It's more beautiful than I imagined it would be by looking at the preview video.  I love how Kate emotes and her sweet high notes.

This is pretty cool. thewb.com used Kate's song "One Way or Another" in the trailer for it's new web series called "Sororiety Forever", which stars Jessica Rose of lonelygirl15 fame. Check it out below.

DELUXE EDITION OF "Don't Look Away" !

Can you believe?! Sweet, huh?

Here's the scoop so far.

There will be at least one NEW SONG including one penned by Diane Warren called "You Can't Break a Broken Heart" which will be worked in on a November episode of "One Tree Hill".

And although Voegele writes her own material, she says she's stoked to be adding a Warren song to her catalog.

"She approached me and wants me to sing the song," Voegele reports. "Diane Warren is, like, my hero. Looking at the catalog of songs she's written is overwhelming."

Kate's right about that!

Voegele says she and MySpace are still determining what else will be included with the deluxe edition of "Don't Look Away," sifting through outtakes, live recordings and video material. "There's a million options at this point," she says. "There'll definitely be some fun bonus songs that haven't been released, and maybe some footage."

Bonus DVD!!!
