I still plan on buying three copies, but I'm afraid this CD is going to flop like "White Houses" has flopped. And don't say it hasn't, because it has.

How can anyone deny that it has flopped? The wrong single, at the wrong time. And yes, I think the CD will flop too (up against Britney and Em).

I knew there were going to be diehard fans who would be like "What do you mean? WH hasn't flopped!" who were afraid to know the truth.

I, however, WAS surprised that my good buddy Claire joined in on singing WH with me in Math today. I was taken aback because I didn't think anyone else knew, or in Claire's case loved, that song besides me. Oh well.

WTS will pwn.

We can help it by giving interpretation assistance.  Something sadly I haven't had the time to do.  To show how much a work of art it really is.

With this record VC was growing as an artist in so many ways.  She worked on lyrical ability, arrangement, and her own personal production abilities.  You think VC rocks now, just wait.

Even if you don't like the music she came out with and the mixes she used you have to give props on the apparent progress as an artist she is making.  As with any piece of art it reflexes not only who she is but also our culture.  And it apparently does so.  Artists don't come up with ideas completely on their own accord, rather the way they construct art depends partially on the ideas they are exposed to from other people around them.  Some of her songs more than others do this.  AWBTW sounds like objects of VC's mystical side.  To me that is almost totally her.  The subject matter sounds almost incoherent and to some maybe a bit crazy or insane. But so many very intelligent people have this HUGE mystical side to them.  It is something of her own world, and her own genius; if not easily entered into.

I know. A&M is digging Vanessa's own grave.

Right now, my main concern is that there will be a 3rd CD.

No, Shania is no Vanessa, but the popular opinion is hardly ever an intellegent one.
Quite frankly, Britney is no Shania is no Vanessa, but we all know who's going to come out on top

Promotion or not Let, I wouldn't expect blockbuster first week sales, the fact that it leaked months ago will kill sales.

We should be the ones wishing and hoping that the album will have high record sales. We all know that Whitehouses really was'nt  succesfull but that does not mean that Harmonium will too..

If people didn't hear White Houses then they don't know anything about Harmonium. Only fans will actually buy an artist's album without hearing any of the tracks.
