I saw Celine's show in Las Vegas, she's a great performer. Although I was in the front row and she shaked her ass at the audience and happened to be standing infront of me at the time... and I don't really want to ever see that again. lol
And it's bad news, baby it's bad news
It's just bad news, bad news, bad news
'Cause you're just damage control
For a walking corpse like me - like you,
'Cause we'll all be portions for foxes
Yeah, we'll all be portions for foxes.

The only collaboration of his that became a big hit was Because of You by Kelly Clarkson I think, but there were like... 2 other writers involved in that besides him and David Hodges if I remember.

And I remember him working with Avril Lavigne on that song where she was like... a crack whore or something in the music video, lol. I forget, but that song didn't even crack the top 40.

I haven't been really impressed with his collaboration efforts so far, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised this time around. Doesn't he have a solo record in the works or something? What happened to that.

Oprah just said yesterday when she was on the show that Kelly wrote because of you when she was 16, I don't think she was even on american idol then. unless he helped rewrite it or something?

Kelly wrote the lyrics, but the music was ALL done by Ben & David.

Yep.  It's such a pet peeve of mine when artists like Kelly say they wrote a song, without mentioning the fact that they had help - and lots of it!  It's unfair to whomever wrote the music.   :?  Still love Kelly, but that bugs me.

That is kind of annoying. Also irritating is when people DO have co-writers, people call them the ones who "wrote the song for them". If they're listed as a co-writer, they should at least get credit for co-writing. No one can know for sure if they actually did it, but still.

On the topic of Celine Dion, I'm sure she's a great singer but I find she shows off her voice a tad too much. Christina and Mariah are also guilty of this.

This is a GREAT video of Celine recording "Alone" in the studio. It's a cover of the Heart song that will be on the new CD.
I didn't know B&D were doing 2 songs on the CD. Even more excited for it now.

And also this one has Ben doing a nice piano bit:

And today the LA Times had a nice photo and article about the new album:
