Well, in a way he kinda did.  I mean you could look at it like this:  John Lennon and Elvis Presley are dead, but they're not "dead".  People still know them, their music and influence carry on, and every day somebody new comes to know them.  And look at all the great authors who have passed on; their works still come to life in the imaginations of new readers year after year.  How are any of us to know, but Vanessa could just as easily become the symbol of a major movement as anyone else from an iron worker to a politician.  Do you see where this is going?

Okay...so V has written a buncha songs that haven't been released, and may never get released....but hypothetically speaking...what do you guys think she should do...

these are the songs:

Ameriteen
All I Ask
Streets Have No Name
Red Ditty
Superhero
Carnivale
Swindler
Morning Sting
Birdie
Burden
Devil Dance
Faces
Meggie Sue
Wonder
Little Mary
Last Fall

did I miss any?

Ameriteen - only performed live, should be re-made.(and put on album)
All I Ask - i dont know, already a studio version, but should be put onto an album
Streets Have No Name - already on a CD.
Red Ditty - already on a CD
Superhero - i dont know, already studio version, but should be put onto an album
Carnival - Remade into Dark Carnival and released as extra content on a Video Game., although the original song is very good, and i personally would like it put on an album. im afraid that Carnival will never be played live, or re-made again, because it was re-made to Dark Carnival.
Swindler - already on a CD
Morning Sting - only performed live, should be re-made(and put on album)
Birdie - only performed live, should be re-made(and put on album)
Burden - i dont know, i personally think it should be re-made to an album
Devil Dance - i dont know, i personally think it should be re-made to an album
Faces - i dont know, i personally think it should be re-made to an album
Meggie Sue - i dont know, i personally think it should be re-made to an album
Wonder - i dont know, i personally think it should be re-made to an album
Little Mary - i dont know, i personally think it should be re-made to an album
Last Fall - i dont know, i personally think it should be re-made to an album

---
Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me - only performed live, should be re-made(and put on album)
Blue Ditty - long lost, should be re-made(and put on album)
DVD interlude - should be completed, and re-made into a full song(and put on album).
Quail dude song thingy - lost?, should be re-made(and put on album).

 I'm addicted to all Vanessa songs.

What CD was "Swindler" put on?   Vanessa says it hasn't been yet.  Are you, perhaps, confusing it with something else? :?

Vanessa always says that even though it's a very good song, it hasn't made a CD yet.

Import, eh?  I hate when someone throws that on me!  The problem I have with singles is that they're almost always limited release and extremely limited availability, and so they don't circulate well among fans, let alone non-fans.  But I guess you're right about "Swindler" seeing release somewhere, somehow.  I'm with Vanessa, however, and I believe it should make an album. :D

There's always talk about it, and if she ditches Label x and goes elsewhere, it could be a greater possibility.  I think a more understanding, more enthusiastic label would be more likely to nod that kind of project in.
