Wow, bold move!  But have no worries.  We all have the utmost faith in you, especially I.  Even if things get a little tight along the way, you have more than just fans here.  Some of us (I included) are even your friends and we're always here for you! :D

Thank you very much!

Yes, it's a bold move, but not as bold as you might assume.  I'm in a position where I can get away with not working for awhile.

I am SO excited about getting to just focus on being creative & looking for opportunities to get my music out into the world!

   Nah, but I did tell him why I was quitting:  To pursue my goals with my music.     (p.s.  I hope you like the cd!  If you like what you've heard so far, there's a good chance you will like the rest.  :) )

We're all proud of you. Life is too short and too uncertain not to take risks. People seem to think that being a singer/musician/artist is more of a risk than a regular job (it annoys me when people tell people with artistic dreams to get "real" jobs, lol) but really, how is a "real" job completely secure and certain? People often lose their jobs for reasons beyond their control, eg. companies go bust, companies downsize, workers get replaced by younger (and therefore cheaper) people or even machines, etc. People also get sick, or injured, or die suddenly....
I'm not being negative; my point is that pursuing your passion isn't really as big a risk as it may seem.... and sometime soon, you will have that wonderful, transcendent moment in which you will know beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you did the right thing, and that you are fulfilling your destiny.

Good luck, Shannon xx

It's just an office job.  BLAH!!

I'm totally quitting today!  Wish me luck.   :D

If you're going to be sitting at a keyboard Shannon... it might as well be a
KORG! I can't stand flying a desk either; the most time I spend at a desk is
in front of Corel creating digital artwork. I now have my PC up and running
with a brand new 19" Windscreen monitor. Just need to get broadband on

Peace

"Brainstorms" is easily one of the best albums of 2006!

To Shannon: I really want to get your album, "Brainstorms" but my parents are so paranoid to use their credit card online. Is there a mailing address where I can send money via mail and get the album? Please reply or PM me!
Keep up the good work! :)
