As far as "Duets" goes, I think Anastacia did alright. I was told going in that they were actually looking for a girl, so I was pretty shocked to even make the final four! I chose "Pretty Baby" because at the time it was my favorite Vanessa song and it wasn't quite as well known as some of the others. I thought it would be cool to try something different
I was actually working as an intern at Interscope Records when "Harmonium" came out, so there was a lot of promotional stuff going on at the time. I was over in the music video department and helped ship out a bunch of copies of the "White Houses" music video to different places... it was pretty cool!
Oh, and I'm glad you liked the "100 Years" video, Scotty! I had a total blast filming that, and getting to hang out with John Ondrasik and everyone. To answer your question, I was really playing the song on the piano; everyone in the cast were pro piano players in real life. I still keep in touch with some of them 'cause they were all so awesome
