Harmonium songbook?
« on: May 25, 2005, 09:01:34 pm »
So I was just thinking... Since Harmonium is being cut, will there still be a songbook released? I mean, it would make sense that it wouldn't be... right?

Does anyone have an updated information about the songbook since she isn't releasing a second single?

well, i placed my e-mail address on the mailing list for 'Musicnotes.com', and when [and if] they release the book, trust me, i'll let everyone know. but to my disappointment, they haven't sent me anything concerning the HARMONIUM songbook.

Interscope/A&M is no longer promoting Harmonium. I don't think they'd even bother with a song book at this point.

Maybe if everyone would put that on their Amazon wish list, somebody would notice that people want it....?!?

that's really sad. i honestly feel like crying right now, b/c i think that the songbook is in even higher demand than the album. i would do a transcribsion of WTSHNN [i cooked up the idea yesterday at the piano], but i don't have the software to do that with, much less know how to scan stuff [i.e., pictures] to a post on a forum.

Yeah and Vanessa told me that they it was almost ready and that it would be out VERY soon...so that makes me think they are actually made up..probably sitting in a warehouse somewhere....kinda sucks when we alll want it!

I added it to my wish list as a must-have, not to influence the release, necessarily, but rather because I must have it! :D

well, it seems that these rumors are also going around at the Offical Vanessa Carlton Chat forums. all i have to say is that unless rumors are confirmed or denied, there's really no need to post them, unless the truth comes straight from the horse's mouth. [i.e., Van Carlton]. i mean, Hanson's 'THIS TIME AROUND' didn't do good, yet they released the sheet music for it. so just stay tuned and be patient.

sometimes it could be more or less than a year after the album's released before you see the sheet music. i can list several examples. maybe the publishing company's [Hal-Leonard] could be running behind as of right now. if they released 'Annie', 'Who's To Say', 'Private Radio', and 'White Houses', then i don't think they'll stop there. if they have it, then i'll let you guys know ASAP, b/c i'm on their Mailing List [i.e., Musicnotes.com], i promise. i want the sheet music as much as you guys do. :)

I don't doubt we will get the sheet music because Harmonium did badly. I doubt that we will get the sheet music because Interscope/A&M decided that they aren't promoting Harmonium anymore. They're pretty much forgetting Harmonium ever happened and moving on. This doesn't mean that the sheet music isn't coming out, just that it's highly unlikely it is at this point.

well, let's just hope that they release it if it's the last thing they do for the album. otherwise, i hope that y'all will stop driving everyone crazy with all of these unconfirmed rumors. :?

ok I got this info on the O board

Quote from: "Phu"
i wrote a mail to halleonard.com asking if they really released this one.

the answer:
"It is not out of print, rather it has not yet been printed. We do not have a release date at this time.

Please continue to check the "What's New" page of our website as it will appear there as soon as it is available."

so the release date at amazon is obviously wrong
let's hope, it will be released soon...
