The Saturday Early SHow

I saw the first two Vanessa appearances.  There was no time to say HI or anything, because she was rushed on and off, with I believe the floor manager saying "you have 15 seconds to play"(this was when she did her instrumental intro).  It was so funny, the studio was cold, and as she walked up to the piano(before it went out live) her bottom lip was shivering.  After that, she played WTS as you saw, but as they cut away, she went right back into a quick wrap segment where she played the first verse or so of Ordinary Day.  They did it IMMEDIATELY after, so at first she was disoriented.  So professional though!  I was proud.  I think she saw me out on the floor with my gf, but I can't be sure.

The sound in the studio had no reverb coming through any monitor, so it was as pure a performance as could be, and she sounded great!  Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for the whole thing, and I missed the end of the show.  Did OD air?

yes, she did. she did the Divide & Conquer version, which i like better, b/c it goes through my head a lot. when i first turned to her this morning, it took me a few seconds to figure out who it was. then i occured to me that it was Van, indeed, and i was mad that... well, all i have to say is that i'mma just start keepin' up with her TV appearances from now on, even if it makes my younger sis, who always hogs the TV b/c she pays for it, mad. if she had been there this morning, then i would've missed Vanessa's appearance.

They showed about a third of OD here. I'm editing my capture and I'll upload it tonight. My reception on CBS isn't great so it's not the best picture quality.

Thanks Steveau! It was a nice little show, although I wished they wouldn'y have cut off her songs. It was funny when they cut back from commercial and she didn't know that they were on-air and she was like, "Am I going now?"
She looked so pretty and her dress was absolutely gorgeous. I've been doing a lot of thinking of plotting, and I've come up with a plan to go to NY and steal her wardrobe.

Just to clarify: OD wasn't cut; it was never a whole performance to begin with.  They just said "cut" when they had enough of her performance to use for the show.  I'm sure they did the same with ATM, but I wasn't there for that.

The word was that at one point, they were "light", meaning running under time.  There was a short segment where the anchors vamped on the whole "King Kong" thing, and I think they got back on, and even heavier, based on that.  Maybe another of the live segments ran long.  Even before the show, there was talk of her playing over the credits, which means they counted on a truncated version of a song or two.
