I'll qualify my choice of Steinway. I like their model D and their other grands. Yamaha has better sounding uprights in general, IMO, though.

I think Yamahas sound too bright. Steinways are more rich in sound

I love Yamahas!

Baldwin is my second pick, though. I have something called a Technics. It's made by Panasonics. Ehh, it plays well, but I'd rather have a Yamaha.
