10/4/05 - Dartmouth College REVIEW
« Reply #2 on: October 05, 2005, 03:06:39 am »
fucken awesome show! ill tell all when i get out of work :)

edit: here is my review...

ok..well before the show even started i ran into vanessa and the new mark ( who i have been asked not to disclose his name at this time...) playing with vanessas new puppy. basically only said hi cuz i didnt want to interupt...they looked so cute together...( the puppy and vanessa...not new mark and vanessa )

i guess ill start off with her set list...( since i got one...lol there was 2 of them, one for Vanessa and one for the new mark...and after the new mark found out who i was he let me have it before the show even began so i knew the order the songs were played in before she played them )

papa
san francisco
ordinary day
whos to say
white houses
the one
put your hands on me*
c'est la vie
wanted
this time
best behavior
rinse
half a week before the winter
a thousand miles
and an encore of twilight

*this wasnt on her set list so she threw it in there.
she told great jokes and stories in between all her songs. the audience was very receptive to her, well at least the people around me were, they were clapping and yelling after every song. cameras were not allowed but people still took pictures. i took a few and they will be posted after i develope them.

I did get to organize a meet and greet so i was happy about that. a handful of people who had never met her before got to and got pictures with her. so that was cool.

only one other nessaholic was representing at this show, which was a surprise to me cuz they dont post so i didnt know she was coming..but brian got to hear san francisco over my phone and an accidental wanted...and krystina got to hear the one.

thats about it...im sorry if this is lame cuz ive never been the one to post a review before...ive always just commented on other peoples...
...I see you now, at the show....

I just read that article and I think I might cry...

Vanessa is the most underrated artist of all time.

Oh, and p.s.  I'm going to pay $35 per ticket to see Nessa play in Norman this month!  And other people "don't want to pay $10."  How ridiculous. She's worth so much more.

Great review! The "new Mark" sounds nice so that's cool. That is sooo adorable about her puppy; did you catch his/her name? That's good that the audience seemed to really like her. Oh, and what was Nessa wearing?

Bummed
« Reply #8 on: October 06, 2005, 10:35:25 pm »
I am so bummed.  I've driven through several states, to attend Vanessa's shows, but the one time that she plays in my home state I miss it!  I could just die!  I was in Virginia Beach all this week and didn't know that she was going to be in Hanover.  I've driven over 4 hours to attend some of her shows, and she was 15 minutes away from my house.  Life is so unfair!  The funny part is when I met her in Vermont after her show at Higher Ground, I gave her a big ration of crap because she never played in New Hampshire, and now this happens.
