My musical hero. I am a huuuge Ani fan, although her last few studio albums have been duds.  But her early work and especially "Dilate" and "not a pretty girl" are extraordinary albums!!

i went to see Ani last week and I was SOOOO dissapointed.

She opened with some GREAT songs.  Independance Day, Cradle and All, Shy... good stuff.  Then she went on this big long stretch of cheesy ballads, new anti-war anti-capitalism songs (serpentine sucks) and they were HORRIBLE.  PLUS she barely played for an hour.

Huge dissapointment.  She was much better when I saw her on the little plastic castles tour.

Finally saw her live last night.
It was pretty school. She played alot of the anti-capitalism stuff Andrew mentioned, but she played some old stuff too. I wish she had played 32 Flavors, and Untouchable face. That would have made my night.

Ugh... she never plays her good songs anymore and keeps playing all her crappy new stuff.

I would go nuts for some Napoleon, Both Hands, Swan Dive, Little plastic castles, Jukebox, GRAVEL!... ANYTHING that rocks!  I refuse to support her little political tirades...

She played Little Plastic Castles, Swandive, and Both Hands.  Everyone went NUTS during Both Hands. Good song!
