Free music download
« on: October 19, 2005, 12:03:22 pm »
I used to have Win MX. Hardly ever used it, maybe once or twice a year.
(Yes. I do buy original cd's, mostly.  8O  )

I wanted to download a song today, but when I opened the program, it wouldn't let me connect.
I wanted to re-download it, but it doesn't seem to be free anymore.

Does anyone know if there's a similar program I can download for free? (And that's pretty easy to use? lol)

I downloaded Limewire and it's free and easy to use. The download is quick too. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml

I use limewire. Seems to be working okay so far for me.

And I don't "steal" it, I just download songs to see if I wanna buy the album, & downloading the songs hold me over till I get some money to actually buy it if I like it, that's what I do at least.

I had the same problem with Win MX so I saw if it was working on my sisters but it wasnt so I guess they shut it down.

I agree with Laura aswell, its like a try before you buy, also theres some great music out of your home country and some people dont have credit cards to order the CD.

I think http://www.imesh.com is good

Thank you!
I'm going to download Lime Wire, see how it works out.

And for the record: I download about 3 songs a year, at the most.

Just fyi, I read today that WinMX had to shut down its site and servers because of the RIAA.
That's why it doesn't work anymore.
