Third Album Almost Done?

Wow, i just read Vanessa's new post, and she says she hopes to have the whole record done before she goes to Australia, and I believe that is early 2006, right? Like February or so? That just seems like such a SHORT time for her to work an an album. Harmonium took forever compared to this one, if it does indeed become completed by the time she leaves. I am not complaining; I am completely impatient. The more Vanessa albums I get the happier I am. I just want this one to be really good and for her to get everything she deserves for her talent.

I wonder what her new creative thing was (I forget what she called it and I don't want to go back). I also wonder if Stephen is involved with this record at all (I kind of hope not...). Are they even still together?

What do you all think?

She's opening for Stevie Nicks there in February, I think.  They've got a bunch of shows listed on the live shows forum on this board...wish I could go to Australia, too!

So what do you all think? Doesn't it seem kind of fast to have done an album, especially for someone like her? I wonder if it really is finished before she goes, when we will get it.

I don't think it's too fast at all, I just think we got too used to waiting the last time and now our perception of between-albums-time is different .

If she's got enough songs, then great! and I'm sure by now she has a lot more sutdio time practise, so she can do things faster and get things done without waste of time, i suppose... I think it's great news :D

He is involved?  Hmm... I liked Harmonium, so I guess it can't be so bad. What makes you say he for sure is involved? For some reason I feel like is an ass and pretty controlling of Vanessa. I don't know why I think that.

I disagree...I mean, I didn't get that feeling.  I don't think Vanessa would LET him "control" her.  Seems to me they give and take with each other quite well.

I hope for this album:

- This Time and Put Your Hands On Me are even more amazing and beautiful suonding than we have heard yet

- Linda Perry or Vanessa alone is involved more than Stephen

- it's more personal like Be Not Nobody instead of story-telling like Harmonium tended to be

- there is at least one fast-paced, rocking song like Unsung on Be Not Nobody and Private Radio on Harmonium

- she get the recognition and cerdit she deserves
