What About Brian
« on: April 17, 2006, 02:11:28 pm »
They showed the pilot on ABC last night and I really enjoyed it. It was funny, serious and really entertaining. Plus I think we all have a friend like Brian, or may even be one. Tonight is the first episode. It doesn't hurt that Barry Watson is in it.

What About Brian

Brian is the guy everyone wants as a best friend. He's the guy who'll stand by you at your wedding, drive you to the hospital, cheer your kids on at their little league game... the guy who every wife dotes on and every husband wants to either grab a beer with or live vicariously through him. But as all of his friends pair off and Brian emerges as the last bachelor standing, questions begin to arise in his head: Is there such a thing as Miss Right? Why does love have to be so complicated? What is his problem with commitment? And the most pressing question of all, could all of his problems stem from the fact that he is harboring a crush on his best friend's girl?

At 34, Brian is the last single guy in his group of friends: his best friend Adam was going to break up with picture-perfect Marjorie but proposed instead. Brian's sister, Nic, and her boy-toy husband, Angelo, are trying hard to have kids. The bohemian Dave and Deena have three little girls and no sex life. And, like all married people, they can't wait for Brian to join their "club," though they're not exactly sure why. As for Brian, well, he's a serial monogamist but still holds out hope that one day he'll open the door and be blinded by love.

What About Brian is from the producers of Lost and Alias and the screenwriter of City of Angels and For Love of the Game.

Ohh man. I can't wait. It's from the producers of "Lost" and "Lost" is my all time favorite show. This show looks interesting. I've seen the previews and it looks like it's something really everyone can relate to.
I think it airs at 10:00 pacific and 9:00 central, tonight. Can't wait.

I love this show! I see a lot of myself in Brian as I'm getting older.

Having the Pink Power Ranger playing the psycho girlfriend made me laugh a lot.

Cant wait for episode 2 tonight.

Glad I am not the only one who loves this.

Amy Jo Johnson from Felicity yeah she was great! I wish she was part of the cast. She was a little on the crazy side, that's for sure.

I missed the first 20 mins. or so cause I get off work at 10 and was recording Medium. It was another great episode. Brian was with the other chick and wanting more where she was all about the one night stand. I guess the whole friend thing played a factor but still kinda funny.

Deena and Dave's whole open marriage thing is just wrong. They haven't really said or showed that she's already doing it, do you think she is?

Marjorie used to be on Saved By the Bell the New Class.  I like Barry Watson so I'm going to give it a try.  Let's hope it doesn't die or get yanked too early (hello, Love Monkey).

I read at FORT that the season is only 4 episodes with the finale May 8. I guess they're seeing how well it does first.

As far a  Love Monkey, in case you hadn't heard, it's on Vh1. They bought all 8 episodes. Kristin's airs April 25th. So we'll at least get to see the season. It's doubtful it will be back because Tom Cavanaugh and the others have already moved on to something else. But who knows.

Marjorie is so HOT. I had to download the first 2 episodes. I'll probably end up watching it.

I already love this show, and I've only seen 2 episodes.  I can relate to Brian in that most of my friends are hooked up and I am still single and don't have a lot of luck in the dating scene.

It's really a great show but how is Adam going to tell Marjorie that he wanted to wait to tell her he won't be able to help her move to avoid the fight? He's a jerk. And she takes it.

I can't believe Nic didn't tell Angelo and isn't it a little early to be trying again?

Just when I thought Deena and Dave were going to make it...  What a terrible mother trying to make her sick daughter go out to the park so she can see her crush.

It's a soap opera but damn it's a good one. lol

And yes it is too early for Nic to be trying again, and a miscarriage is almost never that smooth. It's TV land.

As for Adam and Marjorie, that actually is more realistic because the right girl almost always goes for the jerk instead of the right guy. Frustrating.

Deena needs to be smacked to wake up.
