I always like to share the projects that I work on with everyone here.  “Off The Island” is a short film based on the TV show ‘Lost’, however it takes place…well, off the island, and revolves around Chase Jackson, who’s searching for his brother, Scott Jackson (an actual character on ‘Lost’ from Season 1).

The film is actually getting a lot of internet buzz right now, which is great considering it’s still being shot.  Check out the production journal below to learn more about the film and check out some set pictures from the first few days of shooting.

…and I’ve thanked her about a billion times but again, thanks to Nikki (dancernl) for passing along the info to me a few months ago.  :)

(I hope its ok that I made this a separate thread from the TV show...I feel it'll get more hits this way, and actually help to promote the film a little better when people search for it...)

Though we are currently only on the second season here...but I can't wait for this to be done!!!

ahh....another weekend of shooting completed.  I only helped out Sunday though.  Things went well and the production journal was updated by teh director Jeff, with some pics of the days events.  Check out it.

also, we've got press!   The Bergen Record (newspaper in north jersey) has run a story on the fans of Lost and featured 'Off the Island'.  Bill, who wrote the story, came to set last week, took some pics, and even participated as an extra in the film....heres the article and a nice set pic...hey...who's the dude with the boom pole?  :p

haha, technically im not the sound guy though :p   since its such a small crew (the day it was just the 3 of us, plus the actor), we're all taking on diff. jobs. thats was boom day for me.

Yesterday was a fun day as we got to shoot a pretty intense scene.  It went well, our actors apparently put a whole in the wall.  hah, oops.

This weekend is our final shooting days.


Oh...and Nikki.  Jeff mentioned you had talked to him   :)

hahahha, well when he first posted the production photos on the LOST community i left him a message like "hey, that's my friend!"

ahhh...so today was the final day of filming for most of the actors, as well as myself...

Jeff is shooting one more scene on Saturday, but I'll be in MA and VT for the weekend.

I've had a blast working on the film and can't wait for it to be available for everyone to see.

Filming is now complete and Jeff will be editing and sound mixing over the next few weeks.  Film will be completed on Nov. 15.    :D

The director is holding a screening for some friends tonight.  Sort of a rough cut screening.  I'm off to check it out.

The film is on target for its Nov. 15th premeire.

the screening on monday went well...its going through sound mixing now and will be ready by next friday, where i'll see it again before it makes its way to the internet for everyone else to check out   :)

THE FILM HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND IS NOW UP ON JEFF'S MAIN SITE IN UNINTERUPTED FOR, AND ON YOU TUBE IN SEGMENTS...PLEASE GO CHECK IT OUT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.  WE HAD A LOT OF FUN WORKING ON THIS FILM.  I'LL BE SEEING IT TONIGHT AT A PREMIERE SCREENING AT JEFF'S SCHOOL.
