have you played before ? if you haven't then you should start by learning the basic stuff, or buy a book to teach yourself

I got an acoustic guitar.  I'd been learning to play on a Chet Atkins...

You've gotta learn how to play Norah Jones songs first.. cos they're so slow and slow.... it's easier..

I love this Aussiebrit... 50% from Australia, and 50% from United Kingdom

i used to play piano for 2 years when i was 10 years old, and i have to say, it is the hardest instrument for me to learn. it's so frustrating because i can play clarinet, flute and oboe but i can't manage to use 2 hands when i play piano.

if you're going to self-teach piano, I would buy a technique book. Hanon, imo is the best.

Hmmm. That's weird. I've been playing piano for almost 6 years now and I think it's the easiest instrument to play. I play the violin and it's quite hard. Maybe it's because you started when you were 10 years old, I started when I was at least 7 and my fingers developed that good arc and bend so I guess that's probably it.

Cavin, why don't you ask your parents for lessons, I'm sure it will help if you want to play some of Vanessa's songs. Also, you can search at youtube.com for "How to play..." stuff.

I taught myself to play piano and the first song I ever learned was Twilight. In fact it was bc of that song that I wanted to play piano, so maybe if you really want to learn a song enough, it will come more naturally. Plus, Twilight is a very simple song to play and a good starting place in my opinion. Ordinary Day is also quite easy.
