I'm so glad that Vanessa finally addressed these issues herself - it shows that she can take charge and still be totally open and honest with her fans.
I respect that a lot. It's disapppointing that she's not releasing a second single. I was a bit surprised by that, because I was sure that "Who's To Say" was close to making it's way out as the next one, but it's obviously just not in the cards this time. I feel so bad for Vanessa because of her poor promotion from A&M. It just goes to show you how narrow-minded people in the music industry are these days. Vanessa is a rarity - she actually
sings without a backup chorus and
writes her own music. She plays the piano
on her own and doesn't need to objectify her body in order to sell records. I respect Vanessa so much, for those reasons in particular, and it just proves that a record label like A&M does
not deserve to have an artist as talented as Vanessa on their label.
Even in spite of all of this, Vanessa is still pushing to put out a third album. Good for her! I can't wait until it's released and I'm sure it will be just as good as Harmonium. This is proof that Vanessa is truly dedicated to her music and her amazing fanbase.
And that's all I wanted to say about that
